Holland developed a relationship with Paul and Shelley d through the Angel Tree Christmas Gift Project when she was going through a very difficult time in her life.  Their relationship with Holland deepened over the years, soon including others in Paul's local Christian community.  Paul had always championed the cause for the poor and oppressed... regularly quoting Matthew 25:35ff while trying to live it out.  Paul had a vision to create a Christ-centered program that would begin with Holland and her 3 children and then help other disadvantaged single mothers find hope and new life to live out their dreams.  Paul was infectious in personality and spirit.  However, Paul's tragic sudden death seemed to end that vision.  In memory of Paul, and in the name of Jesus Christ, a small group began meeting to possibly continue Paul's vision by creating a non-profit in honor of his life.  Thus, the Paul d Charity was birthed.  Holland is now in school.  And we are working to gather support for her and her 3 children.  Living the dream in honor of Paul... all for Jesus.
